The Octopus project puts research-grade EEG into the hands of the consumer. Using Avatar EEG or NeuroSky devices, users are able to stream EEG data directly into the platform using only a Bluetooth-enabled notebook.
The platform provides the ability to see streaming EEG data in real time, to create and manage recordings, and to sync recordings to stimuli such as slideshows or videos.
Asynchronous processing of recorded data provided by the site can be used to perform spectrum analysis, averaging, or correlative studies of audiences and stimuli.
Applications of EEG recording and processing includes research in neuroscience, sentiment analysis of audiences during films or political campaigns, and marketing studies.
Octopus is not currently under active development.
