In early 2013, OkCupid experimented with a feature called Crazy Blind Date, an anonymous blind dating service that matched two people using the minimal possible information such as age, gender, and a photo. The photo was subdivided into sixteen pieces and scrambled for extra ambiguity.

The Crazy Blind Date Decrazifier is a heuristic algorithm that subversively unscrambles these images. Have a look at the presentation slides, which were presented at Hack & Tell NYC, Round 22.

OkCupid discontinued Crazy Blind Date in the summer of 2013.
